Every bag begins as a hide on an American ranch.
It ends as an artifact in your hands.
100% American sourced. Artisan crafted. Individually documented.
What makes a Skogène bag
American.
Every material in every bag comes from an American source. The hide, the thread, the rivets, the hardware. Not designed in America. Not assembled in America. Made in America, entirely.
Artisan.
Every bag is handcrafted by a named artisan family. Their workshops are photographed. Their hands are part of the product. They sign each piece before it leaves the bench.
Documented.
Every bag is documented from ranch to owner with real Polaroid photographs. The hide, the tannery, the workshop, the finished piece. Those photographs ship with the bag.
From ranch to owner
Stage 01
Ranch
Every bag starts as a hide on an American ranch. We photograph the animal, the land, and the rancher. You will know where your leather came from.
Stage 02
Tannery
The hide travels to an American tannery where it is vegetable-tanned over weeks. We photograph the process. You will know how your leather was prepared.
Stage 03
Workshop
An artisan family receives the tanned leather and cuts, stitches, and finishes your bag by hand. We photograph their workshop, their tools, their work. You will know who made your bag.
Stage 04
Owner
The finished bag is inspected, serialized, and packaged with its complete provenance portfolio. Polaroid photographs, a signed card from the artisan family, a certificate of authenticity, and lifetime access to the digital provenance portal. The journey is yours now.

The hands behind the leather
Skogène works with Amish craftsmen in the Midwest and Pennsylvania. These are families who have worked leather for generations. Their skill is quiet and precise, passed from parent to child at the workbench.
We do not show their faces. That is a cultural boundary we respect. But we show their hands, their workshops, their tools, and the signed cards they place inside every bag.
Their names are part of the product. When you carry a Skogène bag, you carry their work.
The Skogène Difference
What sets us apart
Other brands say ‘handcrafted.’ We show you the hands.
Other brands say ‘luxury materials.’ We show you the ranch, the tannery, and the weeks of vegetable-tanning.
Other brands put a logo on the outside. We put a signed card on the inside.
Other brands lose value the day you buy them. These bags do not depreciate. They appreciate. Through the digital provenance portal, your bag’s journey continues long after it leaves the workshop.
100% American sourced. Artisan crafted. Individually documented.
No other luxury leather brand at any price point can say the same.
